Coricoop: hazelnut excellence growing alongside the region

Founded in 2021, our PO (Producer Organisation) has successfully brought together over 400 members in just a few years, covering more than 2,800 hectares of cultivated land. Today, we are a recognized entity that transforms our members’ hard work into an annual production of over 1,500 tons of high-quality hazelnuts.

History

History of the Cooperative

OP Coricoop is a hazelnut cooperative founded in July 2021.
It has grown rapidly, and in just over five years, it has reached and exceeded a cultivated area of 2,800 hectares, with more than 400 members and an annual production of over 1,500 tons of hazelnuts in shell.
In 2023, the Cooperative was officially recognized as a Producer Organisation (PO). This recognition has enabled us to submit both our multi-annual Operational Programme and our annual executive programme.

2021Establishment of Coricoop

2022The cooperative is officially founded. ISCC Plus Sustainability Certification

2023Achievement of the ISCC Plus certification, verifying the sustainability of our production chain. Recognition as a Producer Organisation (PO)

2024Official institutional recognition as a PO. Research & Development Kickoff

2024Launch of strategic collaborations with agronomists and research institutions. Launch of the Operational Programme

2025Creation of a dedicated agrobiodiversity area at Cascina di Monteoliveto in Cortemilia. Fondazione Agrion Partnership

2025Implementation of the multi-annual development plans. Agrobiodiversity Area Project

2026Admission as a participating member of the Agrion Foundation for agricultural research. 400 Members Milestone
